Editorial Responsibilities

The Editorial Board is responsible for:

  • Reviewing submissions and coordinating external peer review
  • Making editorial decisions (accept, revise, reject)
  • Ensuring compliance with publishing ethics and data standards
  • Advising on scope, direction, and outreach of the journal
  • Supporting the quality, discoverability, and openness of published content

Editorial Expansion in Progress

Biotational is actively forming its editorial board and peer reviewer network.

If you’re a researcher, reviewer, or academic professional in the field of computational science, we welcome expressions of interest. Contributors may assist with:

  • Peer reviewing submissions
  • Co-editing special issues
  • Advising on platform strategy

Our Review Model

Biotational uses a single-blind peer review process for all submitted research. Reviews are managed by the Editor-in-Chief and external subject experts. Reviewers assess submissions for originality, clarity, and scientific integrity.

Single-blind peer review model, where reviewers know the identity of the authors, but authors do not know who the reviewers are. This allows reviewers to give honest, unbiased feedback while protecting their anonymity.
